The intent of this report is to provide parents and the community with information which is
common for all State and Non State schools in Queensland. It provides an overview of the
highlights and successes of Elanora State School during 2008.
Elanora aspires and achieves as a top state primary school on the southern Gold Coast. During
2008, Elanora achieved recognition in the fields of academic achievement, sporting, cultural and
creative endeavours within the Gold Coast.
The Elanora School community is drawn from the immediate area of Elanora. It identifies
strongly with the area and parents have actively sought out a school which, they think, best suits
their child’s needs. This results in a school community who are supportive of the school and its
staff; who have chosen a high quality educational environment and who expect that their
children will enjoy a safe and secure learning environment.
Elanora is justifiably proud of our record of academic achievement. Given the diversity of our
student clientele and a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, these successes have been
the result of a coordinated and planned approach to curriculum delivery.
