Welcome Warwick Principals

19/10/2017
Welcome Warwick Principals!
Today, Elanora State School proudly welcomed 47 principals from the Darling Downs South West Region to see the great work that we are doing here at Elanora.  The team left Warwick Wednesday afternoon with the purpose of visiting Gold Coast’s high achieving schools to ask them the question – “What programs do you have in place that enables your students to consistently achieve such great results?”  That’s easy – firstly, great teachers and staff!
Our visitors began with a delicious morning tea prepared by our own Tuckshop before hearing about some of our signature programs, namely, Inclusive Practices, Lead to Succeed, Science, and strategies that we have used to enable our students to achieve writing success.
Time for a quick walk-around our school grounds before they were whisked away by their coach to head to Palm Beach Currumbin High School.
The morning was such a valuable experience for all concerned as we talked and shared best practices.  No new learning occurs if we remain in a vacuum, so reaching out and connecting with colleagues from far and wide broadens our field of expertise and introduces us to new teaching and learning opportunities.
Thank you for honouring us with your visit and please come again!
