Students in the program learn in small lesson groups and large band or string ensembles and perform at school, the Gold Coast eisteddfod, local community events and for recruitment sessions. The students learn musicianship, technique and valuable life skills such as; responsibility, team work and independence.
Students are offered positions in the program based on a thorough recruitment process where students will be tested for suitability on instruments (mouthpiece testing, rhythm, etc), music aptitude and general personal character.
