Facilities

Our school is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and shaded areas.

  • A large oval is located on the northern side of the school grounds with access to the adjoining council ovals. Students in the senior classes access the council ovals during supervised play and sport coaching sessions.

  • Two basketball courts, a practice court, cricket nets and a large concrete area with handball court markings surround the periphery of the oval.

  • Two senior adventure playgrounds are located on the main oval and are designated play areas for year 3 and 4, and year 5 and 6.

  • Performing arts centre and conference room which services a wide variety of specialist lessons, assemblies, presentations and ceremonies.

  • State of the art library and science centre. A conference room, green room with supporting technology, connected classrooms operate within these space by arrangement.

  • The library and science centre are connected by an open amphitheatre for organised presentations and activities. The expansive deck on the oval side of the library is used for outdoor performances and school wide events such as the end of year concert, sports days and Easter hat parade. The P&C has installed a large outdoor sound system in both areas to allow for premium performance quality.

  • The science centre has additional outdoor areas at the rear of the building where the sustainability initiative has developed a series of vegetable and herb gardens, worm farms and composting bins, utilising the green waste from each class collection bin. The science centre is developing, in conjunction with Bunnings, a calm river walk garden outside the main entrance.

  • Four computer labs are available for class bookings. All students are able to access laptop trolleys, iPads and all classrooms have digital facilities, many with interactive whiteboards. At the start of 2016, the Wireless Upgrade Project has delivered 69 wireless access points throughout the school, with state of the art connectivity and bandwidth to complement exisiting infrastructure.

  • Most classrooms are air-conditioned.

  • There are designated playgrounds for each year level. Prep students have three designated play areas within their precinct to foster a variety of physical and social skills. Many prep students, who are ready, begin to play in the junior adventure playground (year 1 and 2) from mid term 2. Students in year 3 and 4 are rostered to play on the spider web playground, and the senior students are rostered on the senior adventure playground.

  • Use of the onsite out of school hours facility, which is operated by Camp Australia, is also in used during the school day for a wide variety of activities, including supervised lunch time activities. Our specialist staff also utilise areas of this facility for their lessons.
