5 Questions
In Lynn Sharratt's book Clarity, the five questions are a powerful tool that both educators and parents can use to engage students in meaningful conversations about their learning. In Elanora classrooms, we use these questions as a pulse check to gauge student understanding, ownership, and engagement in the learning process. Similarly, parents can use the same five questions at home to spark reflective dialogue with their children: “What are you learning?", “How are you doing?", “How do you know?", “How can you improve?", and “Where do you go for help?" These questions help students articulate their learning goals, assess their progress, and take responsibility for their growth, fostering a strong partnership between school and home.
