MUSIC
Students listen to, compose and perform music from a range of styles and contexts. They create, shape and share sounds using their voice, instruments and movement.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
This is an extension of the classroom music program. Students learn band and orchestral instruments in small groups and participate in larger ensembles such as concert bands, string orchestras and stage bands.
- Students have two lessons per week, one in a small group and one in an ensemble.
- The instrumental teachers for band are Mr Uzcategui – Monday and Wednesday.
- The string teacher is Mr McLean – Thursday and Friday.
DRAMA
Students explore and depict real and fictional worlds using body, language, gesture and space. They create, rehearse, perform and respond to drama.
DANCE
Students use their body to communicate and express meaning though movement. Dance lessons integrates choreography, performance and response to music.
MEDIA ARTS
Students develop skills in photography, digital audiobook creation, script writing, video and sound editing, news report production, advertising and blue screen filming and editing.
